Our story

Three people. One jar. Done properly.

Honeycraft exists because we got tired of "premium" honey that was all branding and no honey. So we went and found the real thing.

It starts at 2,000 metres.

The Bingöl highlands in eastern Türkiye hold more flowering species per hectare than anywhere else in the country: over 1,000 of them, including 109 that grow nowhere else on earth. Bees that forage here make honey you can't replicate with technique or branding. It comes from this place or it doesn't exist.

Honey has been produced here the same way since 1970, through one of Turkey's oldest beekeeping operations and the Bingöl Beekeepers Association, with every batch traceable to the individual beekeeper who raised it.

How we got here

A short timeline.

1970

The first hives

Beekeeping begins in the Bingöl highlands under the families who still produce there today. No heating or blending, because that's how it was always done.

GI

Protected origin

Bingöl honey earns Turkey's only Geographical Indication for honey, the same legal protection as Champagne or Parma ham.

2022

Gold in London

Gold Medal at the London Honey Awards. The judges didn't know the name. They knew the taste.

2023

2025

Honeycraft comes to the UK

Three of us, one product, sold at markets, online and now into hotels and restaurants. We bottle one honey and we do it properly.

From the harvest

No stock photos. This is us.

What we believe

Real, proud, no-nonsense.

  • Show the numbers. Every batch is lab-tested by Bingöl University. The report is on this site, in English, with the legal limits next to our results.
  • One jar, done properly. We'd rather perfect one honey than launch ten average ones.
  • Pay for the jar, not the billboard. Our price reflects the harvest and the origin, nothing else.
  • Small team, real people. When you email us, one of the three of us answers.
